Will be responsible for analysing information, communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development. Work with best in class open source and visual tools, along with the most flexible and scalable deployment options.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and document Data Architecture Principals, Software engineering and Software Design Principals.
  • Study and document existing learning management system and learning experience platforms and come up with concepts and proof of concepts for integration and migration.
  • Develop and implement robust analytical workflow to efficiently ingest, curate, query and analyze, learning and course data, to inform and curate learning pathways.
  • Develop and implement an algorithmic method for data query, calculation, analysis, processing & building machine learning models for recommendation engine & predictive analysis.
  • Leverage the opportunities and efficiencies afforded by access to various external and internal biological datasets.
  • Guide creative solutions to challenging scientific questions from early proof-of-concept stages to production deployments.
  • Develop analytics tools and applications to enhance the productivity of scientists across the organization.
  • Build the core and support systems for learning platform and develop features.
  • Maintenance of the core and support systems by constantly updating the source codes and allied repositories.
  • Develop technical documentation and maintain active tech repositories for all tech activities carried out.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in determining mathematical approaches to solve problems, sampling plan and gathering/analyzing /portraying data.
  • Exposure to unstructured data sets and Natural Language Processing.
  • Proven Business acumen and business domain knowledge is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in determining mathematical approaches to solve problems, sampling plan and gathering/analyzing /portraying data.
  • Work experience in building predictive models using various ML algorithms, drawing insights from the model output, communicating the results to key stakeholders, integrating the analytics into existing business workflows and measuring business outcome.
  • Proficient in designing/building/managing solutions utilizing for example Python, SQL and NoSQL queries, and Apache Hadoop and Spark.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis and deploying the results of the analysis.
  • Experience in data collection/data mining/text mining.
  • Strong skills in data visualization: Dash (plotly), D3, web technologies.
  • Experience in : Data mining unstructured, semi structured and structured data, data processing algorithms, statistical analysis and related tools like Pandas and TensorFlow.
  • Data Visualization tools like Tableu.
  • Experience in integration technology (MQ, Web services, Kafka, etc.)
  • Database: RDBMS DB like MariaDB / MySQL, Postgres, SQL and NoSQL DB like Elastic Search, MongoDB, Cassandra etc.
  • Experience of trouble shooting performance problem with Java and big data applications.
  • Excellent and substantial analytical experience and financial services experience is also advantageous.
  • Data technology literate with a detailed understanding of data architecture and data tools and technologies, in memory/in database and open source technology (e.g. Java, Hadoop, Scala, Spark, SQL).
