This role requires
- Solution Engineering: Migrate existing on-premise workloads onto Azure
- Work on a team to architect, develop, and deliver target compute framework as well as BI and reporting solutions
- Azure Development: Develop and deploy compute and pipelining batches on Azure
- Interface directly with Quant Developers and business stakeholders, gathering feedback and helping in implementing building blocks of the above
- SysOps Admin: Trouble-shoot new workload deployed on Azure
Skills & Experience
- 3*+ years of experience in: Python (3x)* - backend, Data Warehouse, General Purpose Reporting and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.), Source Control (TFS, Git, etc.), CI/CD tools such as Octopus Deploy or others.
- 3+ years of experience contributing to a platform for large analytics workloads (500GB-1TB) running them on Azure or AWS platform.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Windows stack: SQL database, PowerShell, Power BI, Analysis Cubes.
- Experience with Azure cloud-native distributed systems: containers, microservice and serverless architectures.
- Experience in developing Azure Functions for integrating Azure storage, IaaS, and PaaS services.
- Experience with automation of build and deployment processes, continuous integration and application configuration management.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Hub.
- Experience with large analytics workload management on Azure, minimizing data I/O bottlenecks, resolving dependencies, automating scheduling using event-based triggering, and, auto-scaling approaches.
